School Updates
A Weekend to Remember: 2nd Grade Families Unite at YMCA of the Rockies in Estes
Last weekend was nothing short of spectacular as families of 2nd graders came together for an unforgettable retreat at the scenic YMCA of the Rockies in Estes. Parents came together with an invitation for all families to retreat to the mountains, creating an atmosphere of togetherness that set the stage for an amazing adventure.
Community Growth Campaign
Donations to the CGC provide immediate and meaningful impact to the experience of our students. Support for CGC comes from current families, alumni, grandparents, parents of alumni, faculty, and friends. The CGC begins each year on July 1 and ends on June 30. Join our effort this year to ensure that BCSIS’s extraordinary faculty, staff and students have all the tools they need to explore and learn.
Classroom Supplies
We do school supplies differently at BCSIS. Rather than have families buy supplies individually, we ask that each student bring in a check made out to BCSIS for $85.00. This fee allows classroom teachers as well as our art and music teachers to purchase supplies in bulk, guaranteeing that each student has the same supplies throughout the year. We use high quality materials as beeswax crayons, professional quality watercolor paper, main lesson books, wool yarn, and science journals. These supplies have a longer classroom life and enrich our arts integrated curriculum.
Web Design Committee
Are you good at Squarespace, organizing content, and overall design? We need a few parents with web skills particularly in Squarespace to join our team to revamp and add to our website.
