Specialists

The single largest investment of the ARTS Fund is people. More than one-third of every donation helps fund additional paraeducators, academic enrichment staff, and other specialists who provide individualized support to students throughout the school day.

These dedicated team members work alongside classroom teachers to provide small-group instruction, academic interventions, classroom support, and social-emotional guidance. They help ensure students receive the extra attention they need while allowing teachers to meet the needs of every learner. BCSIS uses a tiered approach to academic and social-emotional support, with teachers, counselors, psychologists, and support staff working together to help students thrive.

Our school’s fundraising organization, Friends of BCSIS, is a volunteer parent group that raises approximately $100,000 each year to provide these materials to our school, faculty, and all the children. Of these funds:
